(Applause.) An excellent . musical programme was gone through, tho items comprising instrumental music, sougs, recitations, and a reading-, several of which wero heartily applauded, encores boing demanded in several easos. The following contributed .— Misses Watson, Nock, Sweeney, Graham, McMahon (2), Wilkes, 0. Mm;castor, Ashley, and Hodgoon, and Messrs friend, McMalion, Mant, Cullon. Cairns. G Hinton. Messrs W. T. Bond and Vercoo also delivered appropriate ad drcsso, and at the conclusion of the gathering a vote Jof thanks- carried by acclamation— « as passed to tho friends who had contributed to tho programme ; also to tho N'olson firms aod friends who had assisted in filliag- a cuso with useful godds for the Good Templar Carnival which is to bo hold at Dunodin uext month.
