Copper on spot and at ' three months is at £56 16s 3d. Lead £11 i6s lOJd. The Imports are 22,701 tons, including 7287 from Australia. The exports are 5952 tons. Silver is at 2s 2 U-16d an oz. Tin plates T.C. ooke 12s Ud ; T.C. charcoal 13s lid ; angle steel £5* 7s 6d ; corrugated iron 414 lOs and £18 15s. There is nothing doing in hides and leather. There is a small trade in basils — first Wellingtons 11 fd. Frozen mutton of all classes nncllffea I, Lambs, Canterbury light 5Jd5Jd; Dunedin and Southland 5 11-I6dj North Island s*d.
