CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY.

. ANNUAL MEETING. The second annual general meeting of the Co-operative Dairy Company was held in the Rechabite Hall at Bright water, on Saturday. Mr J. Morrison, Chairman of Directors, presided. There were also present on the platform Messrs F. Hooper, W Thorn, G Silcock. G. S. Haycock, A. ,T. Palmer and W. Dron, members of the Directorate, and Mr .T. Shar£ jun. (Secretary). The report read as follows :— ",Your Directors, in presenting the second annual balance sheet and report, desire to state that the Company's affairs have run smoothly during the past year. Your Directors ask for tbe co-operation of the shareholders to considerably inorease the snpply of milk during the coming season. From a perusal of the balanoe sheet and of the profit and loep account, it will be seen that after paying off tbo debit balance of £118 7s Od, brought forward frow last year, and writing off £83 18s 4d for depreciation, a debit balance of £29 Ts 7d remains. This must be deemed a satisfactory year's trading, considering tho high prioe paid for butter fat and the low price uf butter on the London market, The quantity of milk supplied during the season was 3,223,729 lbs', being an increase over last season's supply of 1.591,941 lbs. The .quantity of butter manufactured was 148,368 lbs. It took an average of 21.525 lbs of milk to make Ilb of commercial butter. From each 1 lb of butter lot wa9 manufactured 1.176 lbs of butter.
