A fairly largo quantity of wheat has changed hands during the week, the principal sales reported being C ) bushels in mixed linos, principal Hunter's, at 2s lid to 3s Id f.o b., also 1200 sacks of Tuscan at 2s lOd, 745 sacks of Hunter's and Tuscan at 2a lCd, and 1000 sacks of pearl at 2s lOJd, at country stations.

Oats are firmer in. consequence of the very small quantity offering, and buyers have had to increase their limits to i;ecure supplies, the demand, however, being practically limited to Ideal consumption. The Australian markot is fiimer, but there is no inquiry from that qnfti i 3r at present.

Barley is dull of sale, and for light samples no offers can be obtained. A lino of 25' 0 bushels of prime malting has been sold at 3a to 3s 3d, delivered in Christchurch.

There is a limited coastal demand for potatoes, and for kidneys and Ear'y Rose £2 per ton at country stations is be ing paid.
