Second Plenipotentiary for Persia, -but it was not signed by the Senior Plenipotentiary, whoßei name appears in the preamble, Moreover, the French text was substituted for English, and is alone authoritative Previous treaties were drafted in English and Persian. The treaty secures to Britain a. tariff and complete equality with Russia regarding trading privileges.
