PRESENTATION TO MR JENNINGS.

Mr W. T. Jennings, M.H.R., was last evening presented by the Hon. J. Carroll, on behalf of his Auckland friends and members of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Natives' Association, with a gold watch (inscribed) and chain for Mrs Jennings. Mr Carroll referred to Mr Jennings' Courage in resigning fronvthe Legislative Council to contest a stiff fight fora seat in the House and congratulated him on the result. Messrs Reeves, Feldwick, and Twomey also referred in congiatulatory terms to Mr Jennings' services in the Legislative Council, and after Mr Davey, as a fellow-print .t, had expressed his congratulations, Mr Jennings replied, after which his health was drunk.
