THE NEWTOWN NO LICENSE POLL.
CANNOT BE TAKEN AGAIN. WELLINGTON, This Day. In reply to a deputation from the Newtown Patriotic League the Minister of Justice stated that the request for a fresh licensing poll for Newtown district had been laid before the Governor and his Excellency has directed the deputation to be informed that he had no power to 'grant tbe xeqpest.
