NELSON DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. The c mrpetitions last week Were, for First CL ;s, Lieut. Stevens' Trophy ; and for Second Class and Honorary Members, Mr Kirk wood's trophy, both of which have to, be won twice. The following were the, principal scores : —
Tliis week's competitions are: — First Class, Mr E. Moore's Trophy; Second Class and Hon. Members, Messrs Buxton and Co.'s Trophy ; ranges, 700 and 500 yeards. The final ten shots at 700 yards to oecide the Championship will be fired in connection with these trophies.
