The object of the Conference is to consider the formation of au Association of the Societies, and that if that be dot«rmined on to foimuiate rules. Mr iFisher (Canterbnry) moved that the Associal ion be formed, and said it was sug* gestedithat it should exist in Wellington. An amendment was moved that in lieu of an Association an annnal conference he hold, at Wellington, coneideiinjr t>>at it would be difficult to find men able to devote sufficient time tv tbe affairs erf the Association, and that it might clash with the interests <»f the individual societies. The amendment was negatived, and the *ew Zealand Association -was formed. This afternoon the Conference will consider the contititntioa of the new Association.
