TRIAL OF LYNCH.
(Received Jan. 22, 12.4 p.m. ) LONDON, Yesterday. Great interest is being 'taken at the trial ol Lynch, M.P. for Galway on a charge of high treason in captaining the Irish Brigade in the Boer war. The heading was opened to-day, and the Court over-ruled a motion of Mr If. R. Avory to quash the indictment on the ground that? it disclosed jio offence. Lynch pleaded not guilty, alleging that he was a naturalised citizen of ijke Transvaal Republic.
