ATTEMPTED BURGLARY AT A BANK.
A CLERK HEaVILY SITBUCK. AUCKLAND, This Day. The National Bank ac Onehunga was burglariou-ly enteied laat night. The hack door was forced vith a crow bar, but the hai ghurs got no plunder, Mr Walker, a clerk, was sleeping on the premises, and on entering tie front door at nine o'clock last evening he was struck on the head ** wilh some hard sabstance, cawing bim to bleed profusely. He went ontoide for the police, but in the meantime the burglars had decamped.
