THE PARLIAMENTARY CHESS MATCH
(From Our Special Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Considerable interest was displayed in the Parliamentary Chess Mak.ii of twenty men aside on Saturday night, between teams representing the Wellington Chess Club and the Legislature, and the Civil Service combined. The Club players proved successful by eleven games to nine. In their ranks were such formidable opponents as Messrs Barnes, (this year's clian* pion), Mason, and Alackay, (exchanvpions), and 'two Congress players.
