REMOUNTS FOR THE CAPE.
WELLINGTON, Yesterday. The steamer Anglo^Ganadian arrived to-day. She takes 800 remounts, purchased on behalf of the war Office, back to the Cape Of these 400 will be shipped at this port, and the remainder at Auckland. The steamer has a camplement of 88 men aboard, all of whom are foreigners, with the exception of six. As most of them.wou.d cost the owners £100 a head if they deserted, the vessel may probably remain in the stream.
