CHARGE AGAINST THE ENGINEER DISMISSED.
DUNEDIN, July 30. The hearing of the charge of manslaughter against Mr KobiDson, the Government Engineer in charge, arising out of the fatality a* the Inch Valley limekilns, when throe men wore killed, was concluded to day, Eridence wasgirenby Messrs R. Hay and Hursthouse, engineers, that under similar circumstances they would not have timbered the ground. The agislrate dismissel the charge.
