EXPERIMENTS IN OPTICS.
[United Press Association.] SYDNEY, Feb. 13. Experiments have been conducted on the Bandwick rifle rango to test a statement made by Mr Lascelles Scott, an eminent British chemist, that the smoke
and flash of smokeless powder can be detected through blue glass of a certain shade. The tests were partially successful. Further and more elaborate trials are to be made.
