THE EXAMINATION for the THREE SCHOLARSHIPS of the Nelson Girls' College, of ths annual value of Twehe Pounds Twelve Shillings, tenable for two years, given by the School Commissioners, will lie held on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY, the lath and 14th December next, beginning each day at '.i.30 a.m. The competition is open to all girls (exclusive of such as are on tho College roll) under the age of 1,") years on the day of examination, who shall have resided within the PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OP NELSON during the two years ending the 31st December IhHH. Kr^nlarity of attendance, good behaviour, and due diligence in the protecution of her duties will be essential to the continued holding of a scholarship, Th csubjects of examination will be Geography, English, Histery, English (including Dictation), and Arithmetic. Each candidate must send to the undersigned, not later than THURSDAY December Ist :— (lßt) Name in full ; (2nd) age in yean and months on the day of examination ; (3rd) place of residence during the last two years.
