SHANGHAI, October 21. Ihe British-Chinese Corporation has contracted for the cons ruction of a rail* way connecting Su-ctow, Hang Chou and Ning po on terms identical with those ob which it was contracted to construot tha railway connecting Shanghai, Bu-chew aud Nanking, The Anglo-Germaa agreement recognises the Yang Tse Valley as the English railway sphere, and the Shau-Tung-Yellow River as Germany's sphere. In connection with tbe Kiao Chan fron« e B * fc l tlement . Germany has obtained from China a concession of the Louisan Mountains and Tahatur harbour, with a sphere of influence extending over fifty kilometres of surrounding territory.
