FIRE AT A DUNEDIN BREWERY.
A BOTTLING HOUSE DESTROYED. [LiniLcd Press Association.) DDNEDIN.rThis Day. At 6.30 this morning a fire broke out in the bottling house of Joel's Bed L,ion Brewery, in tbe George-street frontgae premises. The brigade succeeded in confining tbe flames to the bottling house, the inferior of which was completely wrecked and the con'ents were to'ally lost. The o&use of the fire is not definite y known, but tbe outbreak is supposed to have originated from a stove kept u> maintain the temperature. The ■ian ia charge saya that the fire was safely on t jesterday afternoon. The insurance on the portion of the bnililin,destroyed is £700 in the Standard Office. Tbe stock is insured to some extent as part of tbe general stock, tbe insurance being £3300. Mr Joel estimates thwt £500 will cover the loss of stock.
