Metre Bisley Bros, and 00. held their stock eale on Wednesday laat, and report good competition for all linea offered. The attendance was np to the usual, and several West Ooast buyers were present. Late rates were folly maintained for cnlls aad stores, with an occasional advance in valoe, bat all.fat stock showed in some cases advance of fully 26 per cent. Tbe following are the particulars of the sale :— Cull ewes 4s 4d to 4s 7d : large framed forward wethers, 9s 3d to 10s ,- forward lambs to os 3d, cull lambs 4s Cd, prime fat wethers ts 12s 6d, and privately for shipment to 14s ; young cows in full profit, £5 7s to £5 10s j store cows from 20b to £2 ; forward store steers, 60s to 67s 6d: Tbe following prices were realised in Chrutchurch on Wednesday last;—Forward tnrnip sheep wethers, lis od to 12s 8d ; ewes, 9s 4d to lis fid ; prime heavy weight wethers, 18a to 21s Cd ; while a pen of pore bred Hampshire Downs made 40s ; freezers. 17s 6d ; light sorts and and mixed sexes, ISs ; heavy weight ewes to 17a, Tbe snpply of beef was good, and fo choice sorts showed a rise in valne, quotations being 21s and choice to 235. Tne demand for pigs continues, late rates fully maintained ; baconerv to 04a, pork ers to Mb, stores 14s 6d to 8s (3d. weaner lis 8d to 12s Bd. Onr next live stock sale will be held at Richmond on Wednesday, 10th inst, and after that date sales at these yards will be oondected weekly, whicb should prove a great advantage to both fat stock owners and buyers.
