FOOTBALL.
A well attended meetiug of the Commit' tee of the Nelson Rugby Union, over which Mr Ltttlejohn presided, was held last evening. Mr Wakeford was eleotod a representative of the Albion Club on the Committee, vice Mr Millar, resigned. It was decided to offer the Wanganui repre» sentativo team, on the occasion o{ ttieir forthcoming visit, half the gate money op to £10. The question of entertaining the foam will ba oonDulercd to-morrow. Mr S. Levien wrote, resigning * the treasurership of the Union ; but it was decided to ask him to ro-eonsider his decision. The Albjon Club having stated a case with regard to the Thompson dispute, with a request that it bo for» warded to the Appeal Committee of the New Zealand Rngby Union, it was re>solved to hold over the mutter for a week in order to give the Bivrl Club an opportn-, nity of making any representation on the matter which might be considered neoeßsary. The Senior and Junior matches' arranged for Saturday next, were postponed on account of the visit of the Te Auto team. At a meeting of the Prince Albert Foothall Club lust eveniDg, the appointment of Mr H. Finney as secretary was confirmed, and Mr H. Sigley was eleoted to iill the vacancy on the Management Committee oreated by tho retirement of Mr Ecoleafield. It was resolved to deal with a member who had left the club without giving any satisfactory reason. 'Resolutions expressing sympathy with Mr MoLaod in regard to his late accident, and regret at the departure of Mr R. McLeod, were passed. Mr R. White was elected a member of the club, A letter expressing thanks for hospitality whilst in Kelson j was received from the Masteiton Oriental ! Club. Arrangements were made for regular practices, and offers by some of the older players to take a hand in Cap matches were reoeived. The Te Aute Team will play the College " at Trafalgar Park on Saturday, afternoon.
