DEFENCE OF HAVANA.

WASHINGTON, April 25. The blockade of the Cuban coast is to be continued until tha time is opportune for an attack. EUht of the blockading squadron have left tlio neighbourhood of Havana, and it is believed tbat their destination is Matanzas, where operations are expected to begin to day. Fifty thousand troops dclend Havana, and they are confident of victory, and they defend on the heavy artillery blockading. The squadron was five miles distant when tho Morro Oastlo fort opened fire.
