INTERVIEW WITH THE PREMIER.
WORK TO BE RESUMED. WELLINGTON, Tbis Pay. A deputation from tbe men employed at tbe Parliamentary Buildings waited on the Premier yesterday and denied that there waa any strike or desire to force the bands of the Government, but they had diffioulty in reduoing the number of men, ao that tbose retained might work under the most advantageous conditions. Tbe men state that tbe Premier met the deputation fairly and squarely and they offered to resume work to-day, acd that the matteiß in dispute are to be referred to the Chairman of the Conciliation Board as sole arbitrator.
