Ministers made a regular song about the Natives having been entrapped by a wealthy Wellington land owner and his solicitor, whilo Opposition members characterised the charge made as wild and reckless, and declared that they would be no party to repudiation or any action which would have the effect of defrauding bona-fido pm-chasers of advances made in good faith to natives.
