STRYCHNINE IN SANDWICHES. [United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. •\ myfterious caso of poisoning is reported from Leeston. On show day Tho3. Gulliver was taken ill alter eating some sandwiches for lunch, and Dr Gossett, who attended bim, discovered tbat he was sullering from strychnine poisoning. Gu liver had eaten some of the same sandwiches for breakfast without ill effect. The police are making inquiries.
