THE POOR TIDES.
Owing to the poorness of the tides, the Barkly wta "stuck-up" in Takaka for soma days, aad tor some unexplained reason the Collingwood mails wero not forwarded for fonr days, the pablic suffering considerable loss and ioconveuience thereby. Someone iv authority exhibited either extreme red tapeism or absolute idiocy in allowing tbe mails to lie tor three days within two hoars' drive ot the Post Office here, and the matter requires the nrgent attention of the Department. — "Golden Bay Argus-," 21st inst.
