DEPUTATION FROM THE MAORI PARLIAMENT.
THE PREMIER GIVES ADVICE. NATIVE LAND COURT TO BE ABOLISHED. [United Presa Association.] • AVELLINGTON, October 25. A deputation representing a majority of Uie Maori tribes, delegates from the Native 1 arliamenf, waited on the Premier to-day a°h ?_.*"*{. J e him native land Stances. Alt the Maori and several European members of Parliament were present. The proceedings ocanpied two and a half hours. The Premier intimated the intention of the Government to abolish tbe Native Land .Court, arid he strongly advisad the Maoris to sell no more land. Be _B_a ik was only ihrongh Parliament that redress conld be obtained. New Zealand was a self-governing colony and it was nseless appealing to the Home Government in tha matter. He appealed to the natives to assist the Europeans in passing the legislation which would be necessary, and he said that they most elect to the Legislative Council thoae who would be in union with them in the matter.
