THE QUEEN'S DIAMOND JUBILEE.
THE NELSON CELEBRATION.
The Nelson celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee was virtually begun on Saturday night, when some of the business places exhibited transparencies, and a good deal of business was done. Yesterday the weather was very fine, with a cloudless sky and a high barometer, giving good promise for to-day and to-morrow. Very largo crowds attended the .hurohes both mornfng and evening, aU the services being thronged. Especially at the midnight service at tho Cathedral the throng was so great that all the seating and standing space was taken up, and many people had to stand outside.
