THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND FINDINGS.
TWO DIRECTORS TO REPRESENT THE COLONY. MR J. G. WARD SHOULD HAVE RESIGNED. (From Our Special Correspondent.) Wellington, This Day. Though tho Council Committee positively refuse to allow the press to have access to their report before presentation to the Council, I believo their recommendations will bo found to bo on the lines already indicated. As to the future of tho bank, the conmnttoo will recommend two additional directors representing the colony, one to be selected by oithor branch of tho Legislature. The majority of tho committee adhere to tho opinion that Mr J. G. Ward, the lato Col. Treasurer, should have resigned on discovering his financial position shortly after his return from London last year.
