publish the Nelson representative team to compete agamst Auckland on the 2nd of next month. The members of this very select Committee seem to think that our men require no practice to compete colony, and they must forget that on the occasion of the last match between these teams Auckland made a record win for the season and left ns disgracefully beaten. It u not at all fair to our men to be treated ui this manner; they want at least lialf a dozen games together to aet combination, and with the men we have to choose from we could make a very creditable stand against any team if we only had practice snd combination. Ido not wish to reflect on our Committee, bnt perhaps they do not feel equal to the task of picking a team, although judging from the wise expressions of their faces at every senior cup contest, when they stand inside the ground and have a speoial view of the men engaged in the game, one would think they Bhould feel competent to undertake it.
