Siege of Chitral.
Gallant Rescue
[United Press Association.] Calcutta, April 20. The besiegers of Cliitral held a garden forty yards from the gates of the fore, but a British sortie repulsed them. It was in this sortio that Capt. BairJ received hU fatal wound. After he fell Surgeon Wliicechurch carried him to shelter. Although repeatedly surrounded by rebels the doctor gallantly fought his way back to the fort with his dying comrade. The survivors give a thrilling detail of tho §|c§e.
