Ar w 1 1 -i ■ _. t, ONDON ' April 27. Mr Weddeil is at Paris urging the French Minister of War to purchaso the Timaru's Geelong mutton, and utilise the ship ab Rouen for cold storage purposes there. The complaints that the bones of tho mutton onfall tho vessels recently arrived from New Zealand have had an odour, is believed to bo duo to defective freezing in the lirst instance. The Port Said Refrigerating Company has secured a site for a store at Malta at a cost of £40,000. The building will bo fiuished in six months. The Government is directing the construction of a cold store at Gibraltar.
