Norman Gastavus Hall pleaded guilty to stealing a cornet from Colonel Bailey of the Salvation Army aud was sentenced to twelve mouths' hard labour Edward Tau, % Maori, pleaded guilty to stealing two cheques from a dwelling and was sentenced to three tnonthß. Daniel Tini pleaded guilty to two charges of stealing money and a Bilver watch and was sentenced to six month?. Charles Leslie Nearing was found guilty of a oharge of Btealiug a gelding aad wa3 sentenced to twelve months.
Dunedin, This Day. The oriminal calendar for next Monday comprises fire charges aguust six prisoners. None of tbe offences are serious.
AUCKLAND. This Day. At the Sapremo Court T. A. Heaps pleaded guilty to charges of larceny and hone* stealing. He was sentenced to six months, W. A. Brauntoa pie ded guilty to forging and ottering . a cheque, at;d got two yeart. Alfred Aahenden pleaded guilty to stealing o qautity of olothing, and got six months. Henry Small, charged with larceny, pleaded guilty, and got 12 months.
