Paris, March 27. mo Premier, M. fcoubet, referring to a sermon on Sooialism whioh was the cause of the riot last week, saii that tho Government would not permit the pulpit to be turned into a politioal tribune. Ifc would rather olose the churohes. Orders had beou given to expel tather Forkes, a Scotoh Jesuit, for delivering a sermon insulting tho Army. The leader of the Oatholio party replied that the Churoh would aooepb the Republic but not revolutionary dootrines. The Premier, on a division, was supported by a majority of 238.
