The Electoral Districts.
i. Wellington, Ootober 14. One effeot of the alteration in population as shown by the census, is that the South Island loses one member and the North gains one, the numbers being 39 and 31. Wellington and Christohurch will be confined to the town boundaries, and a new electorate will be constituted to be known as the Wellington suburbs. The Commission will meet again on the 16th to hear objections. x T£e following is the City of Nelson Electoral Distriot as amended by the Representation Commission : Cixx o_ Nelson comprises the City of Nelson and Borongh of Riohmond. together with the Wangamoa and Stoics ridings of the Waimea Oonnty, and that part of the Wai-iti riding of tha same Oaanty which lies between the Wairoa river and the Nelson and Foxhill railway, east of the road w?"*?™ boundaries of sections 53, 54, 60, and 140, Waimea Survey Distriot. and east of line drawn along tha eastern boundaries of suctions 2 and 8, Waimea. Thefollowing is the Waimea-Sonnds Electoral Diatriol as amended by the Commission: —Waimea Sookds comprises the Sounds County and the whole of the Waimea Oonnty exoepti. g(l) the ridings of Stoke, Wangamoa. Wangapeka, and Motupiko ; (2) that pavt of the Wai-iti riding whioh is situated between the Wairoa river and the Nelson and Foxhill railway, and east of the road on the Western boundaries of sections 68, 54, 60, 140 Waimea Survey District, and east of a line drawn so as to inolude sections 2 and 8 : and (3) that part of the Motueka riding lying north from Sandy Bay, and mora partionlalj desonbed as situated to the west of sections 2of 18,4, 205, 5, and 82, and north of tho road leading towards Takaka; together with the riding of Pelorus and the HaYelook Town Dlß, tr __.' „ b ° __. ot *hfl Marlborough County, / and The Brothers and D'Urville and adjacent Islands.
