In connection with the Ravensoliff G.M. Company s mine at Waikakaho, Marlborough,' there i 8 to be erected the longest aerial tramway in the colony, whioh will deliver the stone at a distance of three miles from the mouth of the mine, requiring six miles of Bteel wire rope j| inoh thiok, In connection with the tramway there will be 100 troßsels of various heights, in the construction, of which and of the atone receiving* paddook at the top end, 90,000 feet of timber will be wanted, 2J tone of iron bolts, and over 30 tons of iron castings. The tramway, when oompleted, will be traversed by about 160 buckets, eaoh carrying a hundredweight. The ironwork has been entrusted to Mr Orosbie, of the Soho Foundry, who yesterday forwarded by the Penguin to Pioton the second shipment, consisting of 90 buckets. 59 self grooved pulleys, and frames and pedestals for tressel gear. Mr C. H, Turner, tho representative of tho Company, has expressed himself woll satisn fied with tho machinery, It ia likely that a number of these aortal tramways will bo required beforo long, oh they poaaesa many advantages ovor tho ordinary truoka and rails, and wo trust that Mr Oroobio will receive his fall share of orders,
