London, July 24. The New Zealand Trust and Loan Company's shares are quoted at £11 10s, New Zealand frozen mutton is neglected at SJ-d. The quantity of wheat and flour afloat is 1,078,000 bushels, and for the Continent 212,000 bushels. The Amerioan visible supply is twelve and a quarter million bushels. The London Standard says that Prance has offered the Pope an asylum, and has promised to restore bis temporal power, but that the Pope has declined, fearing to foment war. Several of the Irish public bodies have invited Her Majesty the Queen to visit, Ireland next spring. The House of Commons will be* asked to appoint a Colonizing Commission next session. The Rev Charles Kelly has been eleoted : President of the Wesleyan Conference. The 1-iverpool Cup was run to-day, with the following result — "Veracity, 1 ; Peeler, 2 ; Ringmaster, 3. An accountant and expert deposed that £94,000 of the Land League's funds were unaccounted for, inoluding £76,000 belonging to the Ladies' League.
