The Sinking of the Afghan.
Enquiry and Certificates Suspended, „ Sydney, July 24. A nautical enquiry was held to-day into the sinking of the steamer Afghan while loading coal at Newcastle. The Court held that the acoident was due to neglect, in leaving a valve open, and suspended the certificate of the first; engineer for six month?, and of tbe seoond for twelvo months.
