The' Frisco Mail Service.
Sydnet, July 24. The Postmaster-General lias given notice of motion for Tuesday to the effect that the House agreed to the extension of tha 'Frisco service for 12 months, the subsidy to ba reduced to 533,000, with a proviso that if New Zealand hereafter joins in the contract, or contributes in postages for subsidy any sum exceeding 1 £6,000, fmoh excess to the extent of £3,500, is to go to the Union Steamship Company. New South Wales is to take two thirds and the Company one third of any American contribution. All postages will be retained by the colony subjeot to the adjustment of a share with New Zealand. If the latter agrees to the extension, one of the conditions of contract will be that only European crews shall be employed on the steamers.
