Lonbom, July 22. The Earl of Hopetown will succeed Sir Henry Loon aa Governor of Viotoria. The cargo of wheat ez Earnoek sold at 85s. July 23. The Committee appointed recommend an addition to the inoome of the Prinoe of Wales of £36,000 a year, but the question of making provision for the Queen's grandchildren is left open, her Majesty intimating that it is not likely that any provision will be aßked for. The New Zealand 5 per cent 10.40 loan will be paid off at par in March. 1890, and the 5 per cent debentures issued in 1879 will be paid at par in November next. The Court of Queen's Bench has refused to issue a mandamus calling on the Police Magistrate to issue a summons against the Duke of Cambridge for assulting a reporter. The Government have determined to posh the Western Australia Enabling Bill to its second reading in order to affirm the principle, and then drop the measure. Pabis, July 22. I The awards to tha Victorian wools at the Paris' Exhibition have been two Grand Prix and four gold and six silver medals, subject to the confirmation af the higher jury. July 23. M. Tirard, the Premier, has dismissed scores of officials charged with fiuspeoted adhesion to General Boulanger.
