STANLEY BROOK ROAD BOARD.
A special meeting of the Board was held at 7*30 p.m. on the 29th September. Present : All the members.— The following applioations were received for the offica of Secretary :— James Crichton junr., £4 per annum ; R. Kelling, £6 per annum. It was resolved that Mr R. Kelling be appointed Secretary. The monthly meeting waa held at 7-30 p.m. on October 6th. Present: Messrs W. Thorn (Chairman), J. Crichton, and J. Thorn Mr H. Fugle attended, requesting the Board to make certain improvements to road. Eegolvea, That as the Board has no funds it is not in a position to authorise any expenditure. The Secretary was instructed to apply to tho Minister of Lands for the sum of £250 for the completion of the district road Wakefield to Stanley Brook ; also to prepare the rate book, making the neceasary alter^ ations. The next meeting to be at 730 p.m. on Saturday November 3rd.
