By an advertisement which appears in our issue to-day it will bo seen that the rowing season will be opened tomorrow afternoon with the usual procession of boats, which leaves the shed of the Nelson Rowing Club at 3.30 p.m. punctually. We understand that the Wakatii Club also intend joining the procession. Afternoon tea will be provided for members of both Club 3 and their friends, and should the weather prove fine we expect a large gathering, who will doubtless enjoy themselves thoroughly. The adjourned half-yearly meeting of share ho'ders in the Golden Crown Gold Mining Company will be held this evening at halfpast seven at Mr S. J. Reeves' office, to deoide the question of amalgamating with the Great Eastern Gold Mining Company. A Folo match will take place at the Palace Skatiug Rink to-night, whioh will no doubt; attrrot a large number of performers and spectators. A NOVELTY is to be offered at the Princess Rink to-morrow evening consisting of a "Siamese race," whioh is said to be an intensely amusing performance on the skates.
