Wellington, April 18. Advices have been received from London to the effect that an effort will be made to float the stranded ship Pleione. At a meeting of Wellington ladies yesterday in connection with the movement to furnish a children's ward at the hospital, Lady Jervois presiding, the Seoretary stated that some £145 were in hand. The ladies decided to furnish a whole new ward at the Hospital, inoluding 20 nnraes bedrooms, an outdoor patients' room, and a consulting room. Christohuroh, April 13.
