UPPER MOTUEKAROAD BOARD.

Tie Board met on April 7th, all the members being present. — Two tenders were received for the lease of gravel reserve on the Tadmor hill, and that of Mr Barnes was accepted on condition that the rent be paid annually in advance, and that the road into the gravel pit be left as at presentResolved, That the Secretary take the neoessary steps to legalise a road to Mr J. Price's land in Blue ,0-len. — Resolved, That the Seoretary visit the recent survey of road in the Sherry, and on the receipt of necessary plans from the Survey office, pay Mr Saxon for his work.— Resolved, That the Secretary consult Mr Eban, and lay off work to Barnard's property, amount not to exceed £15.— A letter was read 'from Mr G. Slos3 asking for assistance to make a road to his land. Resolved, That the question be postponed for further information. —Resolved, That Mr 0. Stanley's tender for work near Bromell's be aooeptcd. — Resolved, That the Secretary visit Mr Ross' contract, and make such allowance as may seem jaat on account of alterations in the work, — Resolved, That tenders be invited till next meeting of the Board, for repairs to the Tadmor road.— Resolved, That tend«r bo invited for abont 20 ohains of metalling from Coleman's blacksmith's shop to Quinney'a gate, by next meeting of the Board. Also for repairs to toad from Stanley Brook towards Dovedale.— Resolved, That the annual meeting of ratepayers be held at noon on the Ist May in the Institute. —Payments were made amounting to £42 2s.
