The Mahinapua leaves Wellington at 5 p.m. to-day, *ill a rrive here to-morrow morning, and sail by the same tide at 9 a.m. for Westport. Tho Hawea leaves Wellington at 6 o'clock to-night, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail at 8 p.m. for Taranaki and Manukau. The Mawhera reached Greymouth at 7"80 this morning. She proceeds to Wellington direct to-mor-row nignt, so that she will not call here this trip. The barque Ardendee left London on August 17th for Brisbane. She is stillin command of Captain Rae. The wreck of the Lyttelton lies submerged in 8 fathoms of water between the Beef Barrels and Okure Bay. As the Kotorua wis coming through the French Pass a plan showing the position of the wreck was given to Captain Neville by Mr Murray, who is surveying in Fennel Bay. A glance at this shows that the Lyttelton travelled some distance after striking the Beef Barrels. It is probable that now her exact position is known an attempt will be made to raise her, as the water is nearly always smooth there. The Union S.S. Company are about to grant a month's holiday to the skippers of the large steamers of their fleet. Captain JohDston, of the Australia, will act bb relieving officer, and he proceeded in the Wakatipu to Sydney on Saturday to take charge of her, Captain Wheeler remaining behind to spend his holiday there.
