PANGATOTARA ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting was held on the Oth inst. Present : Messrs J. Brereton, JJ. Deliiny, .J. Haycock, and George Rose (Chairman). Resolved on the motion of Mr Delany. That tbe Secretary write to the County Council and inquire what portion of the rate to tlie Motueka Board i'or the destruction of small birds is due to this Board. Resolved, Tbat in future the proceedings of tbe Board's meeting's be reported in. the Nelson Mcc ning Mail. Resolved, That the Secretary ascertain what the proprietors of tbe Evening Mail will do the Board's printing and advertising for at per annum after the expiration of the present arrangement with Mr Boyce. Letter received from Mr George Harper, Solioitor, Nelfion, requesting the payment of Mr F. Holder's account for timber for the Orinoco cart bridge. Resolved on the motion of Mr Delany, That the Secretary give Mr Holder notice that unless he completes his contract within ten days the Board will employ men to do the work at his expense. Resolved, That the Secretary demand the rates for the current year at once, the same to be paid in oue month. Resolved. That a meeting of ratepayers be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday tho ltfth November, to take into consideration tlie stopping up of a road and purchasing a new one through Mr Lloyd's property. Warrants wero signed for £5 los, and the meeting then adjourned until 2 p.m. on Saturday the 13th November.
