NOTES FROM WELLINGTON.

[From our own Correspondent.] [By Telegraph.] Tuesday nigh!-. All is particularly quiet to-day and there seems no prospect, of any fresh excitement at present. The Houses has been slowly plodding through tke Municipal Cotpoiationß Bill in Cm mifctfe which is still unfinished. The Was^e Land Committee had a day with the Crown tenants, of whim quito a crowd are now in Wellington. Two were examined namely, Meesrs Roberts and Brydone, and the Committee will proceed with the examination of others to-morrow. It ia ex pected that several days will be occupied in taking all the evidence. Mr Vulj was examined to-day by the Special Committee appointed to investigate his scheme of railway reform. His examination lasted nearly two hours and ia not yiitnrarly completed. I understand he pridueed a favorable itn-prcs-ion gem-rally, but some doubt it.
