The Kennedy came off the cradle this m rning, and sails at 7 p.m. for VVest Coast ports. The Murray arriyed off Westporfc last night, but in consequence of a dense fog only entered this morning. Sho proceeds to Hofeitika to-night. The Charles Edward leaves Wellington at 8 o'clock to-night, and will arrive here to-morrow morning. She sai's at 7 p.m. for West Coast ports. The Lady Barkly sailed for Golden Bay last night, and returns here to-morrow afternoon. The Hanroto leaves Wellington for Sydney direct on Friday. Passengers and cargo will be forwarded to her by the Taiaroa to-morrow. The Hawoa reached WellinjTton at 12 30 a.m . today, and leave* for Ly ttelton this afternoon. « Tho Penguin leaves Wellington at 8 o'clock tomorrow night, will arrive here on Friday morning, and sail by the same tide at 1 p.m. for Taranaki ana Manukau. The Alphild was towed to the outer anchorage this TOornipg by the Kennedy. Her destination is not yet known, and she will lie there until orders are received, ■ ■ The Taiaroa left Dunedin at 4 p.m. on Friday, called at Tiinaru/Akaroa, and Ly ttelton, and reached Wellington at.lt B.ro. yesterday; left at 9 p.m., and arrived here at 8 o'clock this morning. She sails at .11 a.m. to-morrow for Picton, Wellington, end Lyt'teltori, and will connect with the Eotorua at Wellington, The new steamer, which it was mentioned that the Oceanic- Company are going to have built for the San Francisco service, will be 50 feet longer ond one foot tbjf ader than the Alamedi and Mariposa.
