I ' DUNEDIN. There is beautiful weather but the attendance is rathe/ limited. In the Hurdle race Foreman fell, throwing his rider, Pelham Jones, who is seriously, if not fatally. hurt. Borderman won easily. Dividend £3 8s and £3. ; Maiden Plate— Tit Bit 1, Vanity Fair 2, I Tasmania 3. Tasmania darted a decided ' r favorite at 3to 2. Vanity Fair had the best of the start. At three quarters of a mile ' tbe favorite had a slight leai of Vanity, the | whole lot being in a cluster on reaching the . home turn, and a rattling finish resulted in Tit Bib winning by a length. Dividend £6 4s ' 6d and £5 7s 6d. St. Andrew's Stakes. — Hermitage and Tale- | bearer ran a dead head for first place, Fusi- ' lade third. It was a splendid finish, tha majority thinking that; Talebearer had won. The owners agreed to divide tbe stakes.
