Sydney, Wednesday. Parliament lias been further prorogued till October 26th. The Government has given notice to the banks of its intention to withdraw .£200,000. All the Protestant churches in Sydney have expressed their approval of Sir Henry Parkes's action in regard to Mr Proctor's proposed Sunday lectures. Thursday. It is announced that Mr P. A. Jennings, who was Executive Commissioner for the Sydney Exhibition, will be appointed Knight Con minder of Sh Michael and St. George, and that Mr John £)avies, who was a prominent member of the Commission, will be appointed Commander of tho same order. Melbourne, Wednesday. In the Legislative Assembly last night a bill authorising the issue of treasury bonds to the amount of £500,000 was read the second time. It is estimated that there will be a deficiency of £100,000,000 in October. Mr Proctor goes to Now Zealand on the 20th instant. Thurtdiy. An animated discussion took place in the Assembly last night regarding an article in the Argus on the now members' elections and their qualifications. Mr Finchman pro tested against the article, which he said was a breach of privilege. Mr Berry asked the House to decide whether it should take action to servo aa a warning to the A*g\is for all time. Mr Service defended the Argus, and the motion which was before the House waa eventually withdrawn.
