Wellington, 3 7 p.m. The Opposition caucus proceedings are kept secret. It is expected that a Committee will be moved for to enquire into the arrangements between the Government and the Auckland and Nelson members. The Government majority is now seven The Opposition have decided not to attack the existing Government, but to proceed with the business. 3*46 p.m. Mr Richardson took his seat this afternoon amid immense applause. Sir G. Grey raised several objections, but the Speaker overruled them. 3*5 2 pm. Messrs Tole and Ilislop and Sir G. Grey endeavoned to upset the Committee's report on the Christchurch election on the ground of irregular proceedings, but the report was adopted.
